I am enjoying myself because I love to listen to quality. So I break out one of my all time favorite discs, Take 6's So Cool. The group is six guys that sing a cappella, meaning there is no musical accompaniment. These guys are just pure vocal harmony with an R&B/gospel feel! How well do the MB Quarts reproduce the vocal layering and harmony? Brilliantly. The male bass singer is the best I have ever heard. I just kick back and listen to the whole track. Luxury!
Bring on more of my favorite artists, I can do this all day! Al Jarreau's Tomorrow/Today album should be just the ticket. The lead track, "Just to Be Loved," has a lot of exposed percussion and vocal. The bell tree has just the right amount of shimmer and the triangle... ahhh, the triangle is so delicate, so pure. That, my friends, is how it's supposed to sound and image. Jarreau's voice is a joy to listen to.
Yes, the MB Quart QSD's are some of the most expensive component speakers that you can buy commercially for car audio. But, as my daddy always told me, "Son, in life you get what you pay for." The adage may not be original, but it's true. The QSD's are a shinning example of this principle. MB Quart invested big money and technology to create these wonderful speakers just so you and I can enjoy them. Well done, MB Quart, well done indeed.
What's that Tuna? The phone? Who? Casey?!? Dang, he's back already and I'm not even done yet! AGH!!!!! -E.H.
