This month's how-to will be a little different than what you've read in the past. We'll cover OEM integration on a Ford F-150. Because this installation is a fairly simple task, I will not go over the small details. Instead we'll highlight some of the key points that sometimes can make or even break a simple install.

 I'm going to mount this JL...  I'm going to mount this JL Audio 500/5 behind the rear bench seats. Avoid putting any screw holes into the body. |  Now cut out a plate of 16-gauge...  Now cut out a plate of 16-gauge sheetmetal to bolt down the amplifier. |  In order to get the sheetmetal...  In order to get the sheetmetal plate to mount to the body, use 3M 8115 panel bonding adhesive. Give the adhesive about 12 hours to cure before mounting the amplifier. |
