To shape our mount, stretch grille cloth around the entire pillar using upholstery glue to adhere it to the backside edges we sanded earlier. Next, apply enough superglue to the outer edge of the tweeter mount trim ring to soak through the grille cloth. Once dried, mix and brush on two coats of resin. Apply the resin to the outer edge of the trim ring only and not the entire grille. Once this has cured, apply a light coat of Rage Gold body filler. Sand the pillars smooth using a block sander while paying close attention to the edge of the trim ring to ensure a flat surface. With a razor blade, cut out the small portion of grille material left inside the trim ring. View Related Article
