One last fit before creating the mount for the screen. Ensure the edges are clean and that the piece fits securely. | For the mount we used the back strap provided with most aftermarket radios. The viewing angle was measured and the strap was bent to accommodate. | The two supports were then screwed to the A.B.S. and a speed clip was used to keep the screws from backing out. |
The viewing angle was checked one last time before proceeding to the next steps. | To keep the back strap from looking too obtrusive flat black paint was used to mask the silver straps. | Once dry simple velcro was used to secure the screen to the panel and mounts. |
The wires were then plugged into the hide-away module and routed. | The power connections were then soldered in and audio wires were plugged in. | Down the home stretch, we secured the excess wire and tucked away the tuner box behind the dash. |
The screen is now popped into place and tested before reassembling the dash. | Now the screen seems to float front and center, angled upward, right where we need it, unlocking the multi-cast channels and making our commute a little more entertaining. | |
