The Snake Pit
The newest training and MECP certification school, The Snake Pit in Vista, CA, features beautiful, state-of-the-art facilities and expert guidance from experienced industry professionals. The concept for The Snake Pit grew out of Directed's award-winning Technical Support department, which has set the standard for technical training and support for mobile electronics specialists and dealers for nearly 20 years. The acronym Professional Installation Training (PIT), in conjunction with Directed's "Snake" brand names and headquarters at One Viper Way, resulted in a name that will resonate in the industry for decades to come. Offering an excellent return on training investment, The Snake Pit offers curriculum, courseware and an environment that are all geared toward delivering a successful learning experience. The end result of the courses is that students leave with a treasure chest full of knowledge and a certification that can help them achieve their career goals.
Enrollment Requirements
Student enrollees must be at least 16 years old to attend classes. Any student under 18 must have a legal guardian sign the enrollment contract. No credit is given for previous training or work experience. Prior training or experience is not required to attend the Introduction to Electronics/MECP Prep Class. Students requesting to attend classes without first attending the Introduction to Electronics class will be interviewed by our instructors to determine prior knowledge and ability.
Classes
Classes are offered monthly and range from 2 to 5 days in length. The entire program is 20 days long. Please contact us for details and availability.

Tuition
Tuition rates vary by class, however the entire 4-week tuition is less than $3,000, excluding materials and accommodations. Please contact for details.

Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4pm.
