The Ritop School for Mobile Electronics
The Ritop School for Mobile Electronics in Watertown, MA has been in operation since 1985. They are dedicated to the instruction of high quality car audio, navigation, multimedia, security, and cellular design, installation and fabrication.
Ritop was started in order to fulfill a need to educate and train installers in the art of high quality installation. The request for an expanded program to meet the growing desire of the electronic industry and car audio enthusiast has made it possible for them to dedicate resources and to institute a novice-oriented mobile electronics installation training facility. Their courses offer a strong foundation for the mobile electronics enthusiast, from basic electronic knowledge taught in a classroom structure, complemented in the shop with a variety of hands-on custom fabrication projects, to varied installations on actual vehicles. High learning standards are reinforced with 50 percent of the program devoted to hands-on training.
Upon completion of the Ritop program the students are exposed to full training in the techniques of quality installation in a variety of vehicles. All graduates receive a Ritop diploma as well as a completion certificate from the MECP National Installer Certification Program. The Ritop School is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Education and approved for VA benefits.

Curriculum
Full-time 8-week semester and part-time 16-week semester (2 nights per week and alternating Saturdays) focus on strong foundation for installers and enthusiasts alike. Classroom instruction provides students with the fundamentals of electrical and acoustical theory, and hands-on shop projects teach custom fabrication and advanced installation skills on real vehicles. Fifty percent of students' instruction time spent on real-world installs in full-service bays.

Richard Inferrera - President
The "Godfather" of automotive electronics installation. Rich was installing high-quality automotive audio systems before automotive audio components existed. He used home audio components, including raw drivers, and fabricated trim panels, enclosures, and mounting hardware to make systems both sound great and look stunning.
Joe Boston - Director
Joe has been a professional educator for over 25 years, with a career encompassing classroom teaching in a small private school to Associate Director of Admissions for a prestigious local college. Joe attended Boston University and earned his Master of Education degree at Cambridge College.
Peter Faccenda - Primary Class Instructor
He has been an instructor at the Ritop School for over 8 years.
Malcolm Austin - Primary Shop Instructor
Prior to joining Ritop, Malcolm worked as an installer for a number of high-end mobile electronics installation facilities. Additionally, Malcolm is an expert in vehicle security.
Student Benefits
·Offers career loans through SLM Financial and additionally the Ritop School is approved for Veterans Benefits. They work with many states' retraining programs wherein students may get grants and tuition paid by their local governments. The school also maintains a scholarship fund to defray some costs for deserving students.
·They offer lifetime, nationwide job placement assistance to all graduates. The Ritop School maintains a nationwide database of employers and job openings to enable graduates to secure employment in the mobile electronics industry. Additionally, full-time curriculum includes seminars on resume writing and job interviewing skills. Representatives from Tweeter, Circuit City, Best Buy and other employers are invited to offer presentations and interviews to students.
