FolkTracy Chapman "Heaven's Here On Earth"The Realm didn't immediately grab me on this track. Tracy Chapman's "Heaven's Here on Earth" opens with the bass drum, one beat in every other bar as a pickup note for the next phrase. The bass guitar and toms are added and maintain the bass line for the phrase. The opening bass drum note didn't fill out the way it does in other systems. Once the full band kicked in and the vocals started, the LFT12 sounded excellent. It reproduces the rest of the music very well. It was only the really low stuff at the beginning that I could complain about.Score: 7.5/10
ConclusionThe Realm LFT12-D4's sound quality was smooth and well behaved. It didn't like the full 2,000 watts of power I had on tap but then again, why should it when it's rated at 400 watts and 800 watts peak. As far as value, the Realm is a little on the expensive side for what it does. However, it works in a fairly small enclosure and the company is very honest about it's specifications and recommendations. If you're looking for a very precise sounding subwoofer, go out and give the Realm Audio LFT12-D4 a listen. about it's specifications and recommendations.
