dB Drag Racing Announces Date for the 2002 dB Drag Racing World FinalsdB Drag Racing announced that its 2002 World Finals will be held in Nashville, TN on November 1 and 2, 2002.
According to Wayne Harris, President of dBDRA, "The 2002 dB Drag World Finals will be the fourth time for us in Nashville. [It] is a great place to host the event since it is centrally located for the majority of our competitors, not to mention a great city with a lot of nightlife for everyone."
Located on the ground level, the 118,675 square foot Exhibit Hall of the Nashville Convention Center offers unlimited floor load, 27 ft. ceilings, minimal column obstructions and easy set-up and break-down with drive-on access through two 20' x 15' doors that lead from the underground truck ramp. Six loading docks and three freight elevators provide additional access to the main hall floor.
The open floor-plan of the facility allows all dB Drag finalists to have their own personal pit stall with an electric hook-up for the duration of the event. "By having all of the vehicles in the facility, it allows for competitors to open up their vehicles and show off to the spectators," Harris remarked.
One of the primary factors behind dB Drag Racing's skyrocketing popularity can be attributed to its style of competition. What sets dB Drag Racing apart from other SPL based contests is its head-to-head bracket style elimination format, making the event more spectator friendly. The World Finals is not just a single event, it is a culmination of 1000 smaller events that take place throughout the competition season.

Red Mountain Audio to Introduce AudisonRed Mountain Audio is making it easier for consumers in North America to purchase chosen brand names that have a solid identity and reputation in ternational markets, but have not as yet been available here. The Audison brand of high-performance car audio products will be the first and most prominent name the new company will present. This will be followed by another brand well known for its quality products in other categories.
Red Mountain Audio, headquartered in Arizona, was formed by a group of international partners with the goal to deliver alternatives to the mobile electronics retailer and consumer who demand more choices. The company will provide dealers with a fully developed line of amplifiers, signal processors, loudspeakers and accessories designed and manufactured by Audison, founded in 1979 by parent company Elettromedia, in Potenza Picena, Italy. Industry veteran, Kevin Campbell, who has been appointed managing general partner stated, "The American car audio market is extremely competitive and difficult to penetrate especially under current conditions. Nevertheless, America has consistently proven to be the most rewarding to those brand names that can deliver performance and quality."
