Speakers
The front stage stock locations were cut out and enlarged to make room for the midbass speakers from the Focal 3-way system in the doors. An area was also cut out for the tweeters, while the mid was installed in the dash.
For the rear stage, Phillippe opted for Image Dynamics 6-inch drivers. "The only problem involved in the installation of the rear speakers was the magnet hitting the window so I had to shim it out," he explains. For sound dampening, all four doors and the floor were stripped in preparation for Dynamat treatment.
Subs
In the Ram's mega cab there's little room for a variety of sub box setups. By tucking the subwoofers behind the fold-down rear seats, Phillippe avoided having to sacrifice much of the interior space. At 2.2 cubic feet, the enclosure houses six 8-inch Image Dynamics ID8 subs and is made of MDF and covered with vinyl. "[The install] definitely met all my expectations," he says.
Amps
ADF's Eric Toyoshiba custom built the billet amprack painted to match the dash, which holds a Zapco C2K 4.0 amp to power the mids and highs while a C2K6.0 powers the subs. The design uses space efficiently without sacrificing power.
