Anyone who says custom car builders are out of ideas hasn't seen the Donkasaurus. Starting with a timeless 1976 Chevy Impala, the crew at Cartunes in Atlanta, GA, went Jurassic, transforming the vehicle into an orange dinosaur on wheels. Technician John Brettle masterminded the installation with Kenwood products dominating.
Replica reptile skin and curving scales dominate the Donkasaurus' interior, lining the door panels, accenting the seats and framing the windows. A custom fiberglass center console was molded to fit a 19" Samsung TV, two Kenwood LZ-702W 6.95-inch monitors and an XBOX 360 with matching orange faceplate. With a speaker setup that would likely warn away all potential prey within a ten-mile radius, one can only guess that the Donkasaurus is an herbivore. Aside from the pair of Kenwood XRS17P's molded into the dash, a set of KFC-X172's sits in each door panel and alongside each of the rear seats.

With an eye to recreating the thunderous footsteps of a prehistoric beast, the Impala is packed with bass. Each of the door panels houses a KFC-XW1000F 10-inch slim line subwoofer, and a KFC-XW1200F 12-inch slim line sub rests beneath each rear window. Six Kenwood KFC-XW-1222D 12-inch woofers, positioned in the trunk, round out a monstrous low end. The trunk display also features three KAC-X1R amps to power the subs and three KAC-X4R's to supply the mids and the highs. An orange wiry tail extending over the amps completes the dinosaur motif, making this a car that auto-enthusiasts and paleontologists can both appreciate.
