The factory center console which commonly extends to the back of the front seats of the Lexus, has been modified to extend through the second tier of seats and on to the rear of the SUV. This console has been stocked with components, including computers with keyboards, wireless headphones, and an air or gyro mouse to allow passengers in the Center Seat Area access to the computers in the vehicle. This permits these passengers to access the Web for information, chat with friends, and send e-mail.
Anyone out there like to have a tailgate party before they attend a live football game? This concept vehicle is built to offer the ultimate tail gate party one might enjoy three, four, or five years from now. The original Lexus LX470 has a third row of seats at the rear. These seats can be removed to create storage space for all the electronics, including the computers and amplifiers. These products are hidden, but are accessible by simply lifting off a panel. Two large 20-inch LCD monitors Rosen normally uses on corporate aircraft are included in the rear. The screens are lifted by motors from what appears to be a void and tilt into position. When the rear door of the SUV is open, the screens are in perfect position to be viewed from outside. RF wireless speakers are included which can be placed outside the vehicle to provide the audio.

Special Power Supply Constructed
A variety of electrical components are used in this concept car. Some run at 9 volts, some at 28, and others at 12 volts. So it was apparent early on in the construction of this vehicle that a special power supply would have to be constructed. In order to accommodate everything, one very large DC inverter was used to run the entire system. An external box was constructed that consisted of all the power requirements and it is mounted under the vehicle. An extension cord is included; it plugs into a regular 110V outlet; so the vehicle can be exhibited at trade and auto shows with all of the equipment on while the engine is off.
Is this our future? As someone who has been stuck in traffic on Southern California freeways, I certainly hope so.
