The 5.25" Rockford Fosgate P152S 2-way components used for the front stage are rather unique in that they come equipped with two pairs of tweeters. This allowed for the tweeters to be broken up - one pair of tweeters is mounted in the designated area of the kick panels next to the 5.25" woofers while the others were flush mounted at the base of the A-pillars. By mounting the second pair up high, the soundstage effectively rises above the dash. This is particularly important since vehicle occupants sit rather upright and often block the path of the tweeters in the kick panels.
Better Performance for $6While the prefab from Q-Logic is a great way to benefit from better speaker placement, the panels are often a little thin and flimsy. To solve this, we spent a little over $6 at a local hardware store on four tubes of Liquid Nails Construction adhesive. Applying this as shown will add considerable strength and extra damping to the panel.
