The guys at Wicked CAS tapped George Hincapie, America's premier classicsrider, to put together an audio system while he was in the process of buyinga car. Finally deciding on the Infinity QX56, he had it shipped directly tothe shop so they could get started on the audio-lover's new ride. Aftersecuring a number of sponsorships with Kenwood, JL Audio, Dynamat and manyothers, Wicked CAS set to work on the project.

A Kenwood DDX8017 DVD player controls all the action with its6.5-inch LCD touch screen. Video is fed into the system by way of thisplayer, the stock DVD player, and an Xbox located beneath the driver's seat.Video switching is done through the head unit. The stock backup camera anddiagnostic screen were left intact. In the next row of seats, a stock screenis integrated into all sources and a 10-inch Pontus flip-down monitor wasmodified and molded into the console. The final row of seats proudlydisplays a trio of Kenwood 6.5-inch video screens that were "molded into acustom pod made to look stock from the side but flashy when seen from therear cargo door."

Since George needs the space in his vehicle, the Wicked CAS crewremoved the package tray in the rear floor, laid down some Dynamat andincorporated the amps there. A JL Audio 300/4 powers the rear and centerchannels, a 300/2 powers the front doors, and a 500/1 sends power to the JLAudio 10W7 sub that's firing toward the black for the best results. Theenclosure itself was fabricated out of MDF and fiberglass then wrapped inblack vinyl to match the rest of the interior.
Aside from the audio and video upgrades, the QX56 also receiveda couple performance upgrades. A K&N intake and a Gibson exhaust "give thevehicle a little get up and go." After approximately $33,000 worth ofequipment and a long week of installation, Hincapie could enjoy his new caras much as he does his bike.
