Two of the Zapco Reference 200.2 and both 500.1 amps are mounted within the trunk quarter panels, each 500.1 powering a 15" sub. Richard says all amps are mounted on racks made from 11/42"-square steel tubing, which are then affixed to pieces of MDF mounted to the chassis with industrial-strength adhesive. He says this prevents screws from protruding and possibly wicking water onto the electronics. Richard says he's got 1,200 watts total on the mids and highs (200 per speaker) and 1,000 watts to the subs. The guitar theme continues with the neon Fender logo flushed into a panel in the trunk lid.
The Alpine PXI-H990 processor performs D/A conversions and controls EQ, crossover points and time alignment, while mounted within the body of a 50th Anniversary Fender Stratocaster. It sits under 11/42" acrylic and is edge-lit with blue LED tubes. Guitarists might cringe, but Richard's intentions are sound - a tribute to musical heroes including Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton and Robert Cray, all Strat men.
WheelsThe Konig wheels are no longer available but their heatsink model is a good substitute.
