Clarion, Scosche, Polk Audio, Ample Audio, Audiobahn, Atomic, Clif Designs Bring the Noise
Stanton, CA--Cars, bikes, trucks--we had it all at the first Car & Bike night on May 19th. Plenty of manufacturers also came out in support of this first-time event, bringing their demo vehicles and armloads of products for giveaways. Clarion raffled off a full system while Ample Audio, Scosche, Polk Audio gave away amps, subs and speakers.
There were nearly a hundred rides at the show, all loaded with killer A/V systems and aftermarket mods. In fact, so many enthusiasts showed up that we almost ran out of spaces for them to pull into! Enthusiasts had to compete for spectator attention with the impressive demo vehicles courtesy of aforementioned companies, as well as sponsored cars from Audiobahn, Atomic, Clif Designs and Vea-Link. Also worthy of mention were the slick specimens that high-end shops such as Five Axis, Stitchcraft, Speaker Works and Serenity Sound & Performance put on display. The green Five Axis tC provided attendees with video entertainment via its 30-inch TV mounted in the trunk of the car while the International Allstars supplied the music with a full DJ setup. We also had the Car Audio project xA with its single center rear seat out there to show everyone what 5.1 is all about.
For the competition aspect of the event, in the back of the parking lot we had a peak SPL contest, won by the Ample Audio demo Accord which posted a 148dB reading. Thanks go out to Jeremy Mullin of Image Dynamics for running this part of the show. As the following images indicate, this event was a tremendous success. It gave local car clubs (big ups to the Scion guys for turning out en masse), individual enthusiasts, manufacturers and shops a chance to check the various types of cars, bikes and audio systems, learn something from each other and win some cool prizes.
