The first week of November is usually a car buff''s dream - like visiting the largest performance shop on earth. Well, in actuality it's an industry trade show for the automotive aftermarket, but it may as well be a dream shop! Every form of automotive aftermarket supplier is on hand to show its new products to the shops across the nation and around the world. There are even a few car audio manufacturers there as well, who are present to make the crossover into the performance industry. So with all this, show cars were everywhere! All shapes, and sizes - and as to be expected car audio was present in quite a few demo cars for assorted manufacturer equipment. Maybe next year the makers can submit their vehicles for a Car Audio Magazine "best audio install". With so many concept cars on hand this is the show where trends and fads and any other sort of style will be made or broken. It's been this way since the show's inception in 1948.
Along with displays of automotive style, manufacturers are looking for more ways to use their parts and accessories. Aside from this show every year, SEMA is dedicated to keeping the aftermarket industry alive. With an office in Washington D.C., they look over every law that might be passed that could in some way affect the aftermarket business and/or people's rights that relate to the automotive industry.
